Privacy notice for this site

This notice covers this information site and email you send us. It is not the privacy policy for the Makings app. The app is in private testing, and it will have its own policy before anyone outside that testing can use it.

What this site doesn’t do

• It has no accounts, sign-up, forms or comments.
• We set no cookies, and the pages run no scripts.
• It uses no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, embedded videos or maps, or fonts and images loaded from other companies.

What still happens when you visit

Like any website, this one can’t be delivered without some information about your request. When your browser asks for a page, it sends your IP address, the address of the page, the time, and details such as your browser type and the page that linked you here.

• Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). Cloudflare processes this request information to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse, and may keep logs of it under its own privacy policy.
• The short address. If you type makings.app without www, our domain registrar, Porkbun, receives the same request information and redirects you to www.makings.app.

We don’t add anything to this. We may see summary information our host provides, such as how many requests the site received, and we don’t use it to identify anyone.

When you email us

Email you send us is delivered to and stored in our Proton Mail mailbox. If you write to an address at makings.app, Porkbun forwards it there first. We receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include.

• We use it only to read and reply to your message.
• We don’t add you to a mailing list or sell your correspondence. The providers described above process it to deliver and store email.
• We delete correspondence we no longer need.

You can ask us what we hold from your emails, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the address on the contact page.

Changes to this notice

If the site changes in a way that affects this notice, we’ll update it and the date at the top.
